  • Cardstock or thick paper
  • Colored paper

Steps for Making the Pop-Up Card

1. Base Card:

Fold a piece of cardstock in half to create the base of your card. This will be the background for your pop-up scene.

2. Create the Pop-Up Mechanism:

Take another piece of paper and fold it in half. Cut two parallel slits of equal length from the fold towards the center of the card. This will create a tab. Push the cut section through to the inside, creating a "step" that will pop out when the card is opened.

3. Decorate the Pop-Up:

Cut out shapes or characters from colored paper. These can be anything you like – balloons, a birthday cake, candles, etc. Glue these shapes onto the front of the pop-up tab you created earlier.

4. Design the Background:
